French boatbuilder Sibiril Technologies, based at Carantec in Brittany, has announced plans to build combined shellfish dredgers and pot fishing boats of a type known in France as coquillers-caseyeurs. The announcement follows an order placed in April this year by fishing company Eddy Blanchet for two boats for delivery in the first half of 2018. The deck gear, most of which is made of composite materials and produced by vacuum infusion, is approaching completion.
